Sulochana Nandan Lifetime Achievement Award
The award is instituted in memory of Late Smt. Sulochana Nandan, mother of Dr. Santosh R. Nandan, Director of Ambernath Organics Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, and an alumnus of the institution. Dr. Santosh R. Nandan is the principal sponsor and organiser of the EFCS Conference. Prof. V. M. Abdul Mujeeb, Retired Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Calicut, was honored with the Sulochana Nandan EFCS Lifetime Achievement Award at the EFCS-2025 Conference. The Sulochana Nandan Lifetime Achievement Award, carrying a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, is presented annually at the EFCS Conference to honour distinguished scientists and teachers from the Malabar region for their outstanding and sustained contributions to science, education, and research.
The EFCS-Young Scientist Award, carrying a cash prize of ₹50,000, is also presented annually to faculty members and researchers from colleges in the Malabar region in recognition of their excellence and significant contributions to high-quality research in chemical sciences. The families of Prof. P. A. Jacob and Prof. P. Ummer, both retired faculty members of the Department of Chemistry, Farook College, instituted this award in their loving memory, as a lasting tribute to their valuable contributions and dedicated service.
